Actor K. Balaji's Sujatha Cine Arts that rode the success wave with many films (most of them well-made remakes) about three decades ago, ventures into the Tamil arena once again, with the Ajit-Trisha starrer, `Kreedam.' Balaji's son Suresh is the producer and Adlabs (Mumbai) joins him in this big budget production. `Kreedam' cannot be called a complete re-make. Suresh Balaji has bought the rights of the Malayalam film of the same name. Yet the Tamil version will have only a small train of thought borrowed from it. Most part of Ajit's `Kreedam' will be original, you are told. Rajkiran, Vivek, Charanya and K.P.A.C. Lalitha of the Malayalam screen, form part of the cast. Suresh Balaji is introducing ad filmmaker Vijay, who has apprenticed under Priyadarshan (from `Lesa Lesa' till the recent `Hungama') as director. Thiru will crank the camera and up and coming G.V.Prakash will be `Kreedam's composer.
