The anti-corruption wave is increasingly finding its way into the themes of television programmes. After ‘Ruk Jana Nahin,' ‘Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha' and ‘Sach Ka Saamna-2,' here comes ‘Hum Ne Li Hai…Shapath,' which highlights a team's struggle to cleanse the corrupt system.
The story of ‘Shapath' follows the lives of three protagonists, Gautam, an idealistic inspector and the son of a joint commissioner of police, Shikha, a social worker and the daughter of a rich business tycoon and Abhigyan, a senior inspector, as they go from being mere bystanders to taking on the system, even if it means going against their own. The series, now on Life Ok channel is about the thrilling cases and scams that the trio faces together. Some cases have real-life high profile incidents as their backdrop and are inspired by real-life police investigations.
India vs Pakistan
NDTV Good Times has come up with an interesting food reality show ‘Foodistan,' where professional chefs from India and Pakistan will battle it out for culinary supremacy.
The 26-part series, which began on Monday, is hosted by Ira Dubey and Alyy Khan and the panel of judges includes food critic Vir Sanghvi, actress Sonya Jehan and popular British celebrity chef and presenter, Merrilees Parker.
Unlike ‘Master Chef', the format here is indigenous and the competition is expected to have more bite!
