BOOKS Tulika releases a set of six bilingual Panchatantra books

T ulika, the children's publishing wing known for its tasteful books, launches a set of six bilingual Panchatantra books in Bangalore on November 13. It also launches a new tie-up between Tulika and Mother Earth for a range of products using illustrations based on their books, starting with the Panchatantra series.

Six all-time favourite stories in an attractive pack will be released along with the first Books plus products created by Mother Earth, which includes t-shirts, mugs, wrapping papers, building blocks, photo frames and more using folk style illustrations from the books. Books+ is a new range of innovative gift ideas based on the art in Tulika's picture books.

Tulika's “Panchantantra” series retells the stories bilingually, with fresh perspectives, unexpected twists and delightfully adapted folk-style illustrations. All six stories – “The Musical Donkey”, “The Talkative Tortoise”, “Four Friends”, “The Rabbit in the Moon”, “The Snake and the Frogs” and “The Lion and the Fox” — are available in bilingual editions as English with Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Bangla.

Popular storyteller Jeeva Raghunath from Chennai will be present at the event. He will entertain children with stories about musical donkeys and talkative tortoises, clever rabbits and foolish frogs, snakes and lions and elephants and foxes. There will be a special session at 11 a.m. for children from the Spastics Society of Karnataka.

The launch will be held on November 13 at 5.30 p.m. at Mother Earth, 541-543, Amarjyothi HSBC Layout, Opposite Dell, Intermediate Ring Road, Domlur, Bangalore. For more details call: 8065397957
