Zee Tamil presents the award winning ‘Subramaniyapuram’. Before the movie begins, viewers can watch at 2 p.m., a show titled ‘Success of Subramaniyapuram’ which includes behind-the-scenes happenings, and interviews with actors Jai, Swathi, Samudrakani, Ganja Karuppu, director Sasi Kumar and music director James Vasanthan.

Jaya TV celebrates Ayudha Pooja with special cinema-based programmes.

September 27: Catch Saranya Mohan in ‘Cinema Udan Naan’ where she talks about her film experiences since her debut in ‘Oru Naal Oru Kanavu’, at 8.30 a.m. In ‘Enn Thirai Payanam’ at 10 a.m., Ganesh Venkatraman of ‘Abhiyum Naanum’ fame recalls his entry into cinema.

At 12 noon, ‘Pudhu Puyal Shruti Haasan’ throws the spotlight on the daughter of Kamal Haasan who discusses her role as music director for ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ and much more.

National Award winning actor Priyamani talks about ‘Paruthi Veeran’, ‘Ninaithale Inikum’ and more in ‘Muthazhagi Priyamani’ at 7 p.m. In ‘Musical Night With Benny Dayal and Team’, the singer and his team present a music show at 8 p.m.

September 28: In ‘Peranmai Oru Sirappu Parvai’ at 9 a.m., watch an interview with Jeyam Ravi and the ‘Peranmai’ team. At 10 a.m., watch the movie ‘Azhagiya Theeye.’ Directed by Radha Mohan, the cast includes Prasanna, Prakash Raj and Navya Nair.

Nalam Tharum Navaratri

(Jaya TV, till Wednesday, 5.30 p.m.)

To coincide with Navaratri, a special music programme will be telecast till September 30. Padma Seshadri Sisters, Mala Mohan, Visalakshi Nityanand, Savitha Sreeram, Saindhavi-Vinaya, Amirtha Murali, Prarthana Sai, Nalini Siva, Cuddalore Janani and Srividhya Ganesan will present songs on Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi. On Sunday, the telecast timing is 9.30 p.m. The programmes will be repeated the following morning at 7.30 a.m. on Jaya Plus.

Tirumala Tirupati Thiruvengadamudayan Brahmotsavam

Jaya TV will telecast the Brahmotsavam till September 30. The telecast will also include discourses by renowned seers, Azhwar recitations, Veda Parayanam and bhakti sangeetham. The programme will be re-telecast at 4.45 p.m. the same day.

Ayudha Puja Specials

(Vijay TV, Friday to Monday, 7 a.m. onwards)

Vijay TV offers a four-day treat for Ayudha Puja.

On Sunday at 7 a.m. is ‘Bhakti Special’, a discourse on the significance of Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadasami. At 9 a.m. watch ‘Sirappu Pattimandram’ with Prof. Abdul Kaadar as the judge.

Following this at 10 a.m. is ‘Amman TRY Andha Kaalam Indha Kaalam Special.’ Host Leoni takes you on a satirical journey of songs and the topic is ‘Kalviya? Selvama? Veerama?’

Being featured on Tamil TV is the film ‘Kunguma Poovum Konjum Pooravum’ at 11 a.m., which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and new comers Ramakrishnan, Tananya and Vishal in the lead roles. At 2.30 p.m., watch ‘Ungalil Oruvan Ulaganayagan’, an interaction with Kamal Haasan. He will answer viewers’ questions on his latest film ‘Unnaipol Oruvan.’

Vijayadasami day (Monday) begins with ‘Bhakti special’ at 7 a.m. At 8 a.m. is ‘Aanmiga Pattimandram’, the topic being ‘Avatars – are they saving mankind or destroying it?’

At 9 a.m. watch ‘Ayudha Ezhuthu’, a fun-filled show where the leading TV personalities such as Haarthi, Priya, Dotty, Sai Pramodhitha, Pandi, Kutty Pooja, Kavitha, Aishwarya and Nethran project the greatness of the Tamil language.

At 10 a.m. in ‘Neeya Naana’, Gopinath will moderate a discussion on ‘Today’s Teachers - Are they professional or not?’ At 11 a.m. is ‘Mathi Yosi’ where actors from different reality shows will come together for a mega celebration.

At 1 p.m. watch ‘Vijay Record’ where many talented artists from various walks of life will be showcased.

At 2 p.m. in ‘Prabhu Dheva’s Wanted’, director-actor Prabhu Dheva and producer Boney Kapoor share their thoughts and special moments on the making of the Hindi film that stars Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia.

At 8 p.m., on all the four days (September 25, 26, 27 and 28), watch Ayudha Puja special ‘Aachi Boys vs. Girls Season 2’. Popular faces Raghav and Preetha, Satish, Suhasini, Priyadarsini, Guna, DD, Deepak, Saipromodhitha, Mani, Priya, Michael, Hema, Ram Krithika, Rinson, Santhoshi and Vandana will participate in duet round, group round, concept round and solo. Judges Meena and Shaam will give away special prizes.

‘Tata Docomo Anu Alavum Bayamillai’ will air at 9 p.m. as a special on September 25, 26, 27 and 28. Actors Keerthi Chawla, Monika, Tejashree, Abinayashree and Lakshaya will perform some daring stunts which will be monitored by Anu Haasan.

Kalakapovadhu Yaaru Juniors

(Vijay TV, Sundays, 7 p.m.)

Kalakapovadhu Yaaru Juniors will be launched on October 4. And the second round of auditions for this comedy talent show for children, will be held on September 26 at Dr. M.G.R. Janaki Matriculation School, 103 A, Arcot Road, Vadapalani, from 8 a.m. onwards. Children in the age group of 5-15 will be given an opportunity to showcase their talent at comedy and witty dialogue.

They will be judged on the basis of their creative stand-up comedy acts, mimicry and the confidence to face the stage without fear.

The children have to be present with their parents/guardian. Bio-data, a photograph and age proof certificate are essential for participation.
