After battling several odds, Saravanan and Meenakshi finally tie the knot! Watch the special episode of the soap which features the reel wedding of the lead pair. The two-hour episode has been shot in Karaikudi with many artists and technicians participating. The cast includes Mirchi Senthil (Saravanan), Srija (Meenakshi), Rajasekar, Kuyili, Y.V. Subramaniam and Ramya.

Vijay TV goes into rewind mode on this show, which begins tomorrow. The focus will be Vijay TV actors, anchors, soaps and talent hunts. Watch out for bytes from actors/anchors such as Santhanam, Sivakarthikeyan, Jeeva, Gopinath, Jegan, Divyadarshini, Deepak, Ramya and Rishi. Also, innovative concepts such as Jodi No.1, Ungalil Yaar Prabhu Dheva, Adhu Idhu Yethu, Kalakka Povathu Yaru and Neeya Naana will be highlighted. Many nostalgic moments – Trisha’s show titled ‘Telephone Manipol’, Prasanna in ‘Mudhal Vanakkam’ and Santhanam in ‘Lollu Sabha’ – will be brought alive once again interesting clips.

Pugundha Veedu

This new soap is based on Indra Soundarrajan’s novel, ‘Naan Ramaseshan Vandhirukkiraen.’ The story revolves round Radha, a motherless girl, and her school-teacher father, with whom she shares a special bond.

Her life changes after her wedding and so do her relationships. Shamita plays Radha and Delhi Kumar is her father in this soap produced by Thyagarajan of Satya Jyothi Films.

(Zee Tamil, Thursday, 9.30 p.m.)

This fun-filled quiz show is hosted by actor Subbu Panchu. The prize money is Rs.5 lakhs. Every contestant has to choose three subjects, and answer questions pertaining to those topics. There are three levels. Every question has four options. If the contestant answers right, out of the four options the correct answer alone will be added to his/her memory list. If the contestant answer’s wrong then all the four options will be added to the memory list. The contestant will have to recall the answers in the memory list at the end of the rounds to claim the grand prize. At the end of Level 1, the participant wins Rs. 10,000, Rs. 75,000 after Level 2 and Rs.5 lakhs on winning Level 3.

This new programme showcases a collection of short films made by budding filmmakers on various social issues such as problems that fishermen face and water consumption.
