Music and dance fest

Alapana Trust is organising a three-day Youth Festival of Classical Music and Dance from September 27 to 29, at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, East Mada Street, Mylapore. Musicians Bombay Sisters, C. Lalitha and C. Saroja, dancer Leela Samson and business consultant G. Balasubramanyan will inaugurate the festival on September 27, 6 p.m. This will be followed by a concert by Sudha Ragunathan.

At 7.30 p.m., Sumithra Subramaniam (Jayanthi Subramaniam’s disciple) will present a Bharatanatyam recital.

On September 28, 6.15 p.m., V. Deepika (Sudha Ragunathan’s disciple) will present a Carnatic concert and at 7.30 p.m., Kavya Muralidaran (disciple of Madurai Muralidaran) will present a Bharatanatyam recital.

On the last day, M.K. Thushar’s vocal concert at 6.15 p.m. will be followed at 7.30 p.m. by a Bharatanatyam recital by Radhika Sehgal Ganju (Kanaka Srinivasan’s disciple).

Staging of play

United Visuals will present TV Varadharajen in the play ‘Reel Estate’ for Shanmukhapriya.
