Vijay TV recently organised a two-day musical tribute to the legendary M.S. Subbulakshmi at a festival titled ‘Kaatrin Kural’ held at Vani Mahal, Chennai.
The event was inaugurated by playback singer P. Susheela and MS’s daughter Radha Viswanathan. An invocation by MS’s great grand-daughter Aishwarya was followed by Pattimandram on ‘ M.S. Subbulakshmi Rasigargalin Nenjil Iruppadhu Carnataka Isaiya, Thirai Isaiya ?’ Aruna Sairam presented a concert after this.
The second day saw 97 children participating in a drawing competition. This was followed by a dance performance by Radhika Shurajith and ‘Isai Inba Vellam’ with singers Mahathi, Saindhavi, Jaya Rajagopal, Madhumitha, Pooja, Priyanka and Shravan.0
The two-day event will be aired on Vijay TV from December 7 to 15 (Friday to the following Saturday), 6.45 a.m.
