Shear genius:Style Inc. with Aalim Hakim

Aalim Hakim works magic with the hair. Travel and Living Channel’s ‘Style Inc. with Aalim Hakim,’ March 29 at 10 p.m., takes viewers behind-the-scenes of film star photo shoots and how the perfect look of stars are created. Additionally, he gives every walk-in client a suitable makeover. He fashions the locks of Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor.

With Ranbir Kapoor he shares a great relationship. For a photo shoot, he alters Ranbir’s ‘boy next-door’ image to that of a sizzling biker. In the episode, he tames the frizzy locks of a budding actress to give her a fancy look.

He transforms the unconventional Ajay Devgn from a bearded, stay-at home type to a moustachioed hero for a film. He digs into his wide repertoire to make an aspiring singer’s appearance exciting.

For an advertisement campaign, he works on Hrithik Roshan giving him three distinctive styles. Then for a client who is a DJ and a biker, he pushes the boundary with an eye-catching colour.

Doing a Nawab may not be easy, but Aalim is up to the task. From the snips and clips emerge Saif Ali Khan at his sharpest best. Saif gives him a tour of his collection of shoes, shades and watches and shares secrets about his prized possessions, his idea of style and how to keep shoes gleaming with champagne. Then, in Aalim’s hands a stressed out working girl becomes a diva.

He is on familiar turf with Shahid Kapoor, as Aalim has worked on him for many of the star’s films. So for a new project, the shear genius tries something different with the actor. Also in the episode, watch Aalim’s skilful touch turn a walk-in customer into a new person.

‘Ink Master,’ March 30 at 8 p.m., takes the tattoo genre to a new level. Now this body art is open to competition and the challenges push up the creativity quotient of artists. From doing portrait, tribal to cover-up and landscape painting, the contestants use humans as their canvas. It is a tough battle for high stakes.
