Sri Rukmini Samedha Venugopalaswamy Temple in Maduravasal Village is set for renovation after many decades.

The temple, located near Periyapalayam on Chennai-Tirupathi Road, has separate niches for Lord Krishna and Rukmini.

The locals believe that, if one worships at this temple, said to have been constructed 150 years ago, it is sure to bestow a healthy, happy, married life, progeny and peace on him.

Due to passage of time the temple looks dilapidated and needs to be repaired.

Sri Rukmini Samedha Venugopalaswamy Trust, which is at the helm of affairs, has decided to renovate the temple at an estimated cost of Rs. 9 lakh.

The trust invites donations from philanthropists.

Contributions in the form of crossed cheque/demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Sri Rukmini Sameda Venugopalaswamy Trust’ may be sent to M. Thiruvengadam, New No:19, Old No. 50, Mounasamy Street, Ambattur, Chennai- 600053.
