The six-episode series on Star One, "The Laughter Champions Mahay-udh" is about to get over, and we say, thank god for it! Both the hosts, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Shakti Kapoor are so pathetic and predictable in it that you think they are in competition as to who can be the worst. Sad, that a great show like "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" has given birth to such duds. But if you still think it is fun, then switch on the telly at 9.p.m. this Friday.Scorching entrySo Meera and Mohan have now the company of scorching actress, Nigar Khan. Making an entry into the long-running SAB TV comedy, "Yes Boss", Nigar is now Angelina, the "Big Boss" of not just Meera (Kavita Kapoor) and Mohan (Rakesh Bedi), but also the supervisor of their `Sir' (Asif Sheikh). This is Nigar's first attempt at comedy though a colourful wardrobe and a few saucy looks will preserve her trademark seductive image.Dolly returnsThis can happen only in our tele-serials. Actress Dolly Sohi, who left the role of Saroj Bhabhi in the Star Plus serial, "Bhabhi" as she had to shift to Canada because of her marriage, is now back in it. In the same role. But what is more interesting is the way she has been added back to the saga. Dolly now returns to the soap as a `sanyasan'! The channel says even as it was "itching" to bring back the character of Saroj Bhabhi to it, it coincided with Dolly's India trip. So very conveniently for Dolly, as the `sanyasin' comes back, she will have to go away too from the worldly attachments.Cricket fiestaThe SET Network has just announced the schedule for the telecast of the coming World Cup matches. And what is interesting is that the cricket matches will be telecast simultaneously on Sony MAX, SAB TV and Sony PIX. And so would be the show, "Extraaa Innings". The cricketing feast will start on March 13 and will continue till April 28.SANGEETA BAROOAH PISHAROTY
