T he Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY) Bangalore Chapter will host Fest 2011. The festival series is a chain of concerts featuring the exponents of Indian Classical Music and Dance.

The aim of this series is to inspire the student community which will be sustained as they attend more LEC-DEMs and Baithaks. The Fest series also provides the student community to witness several young and upcoming artistes perform in separate slots with the senior artistes. Fest 2011 will be inaugurated with a performance by Shubhendra Rao (sitar) and Saskia Rao De Hass (cello).

Fest 2011 will also witness Yamini, a popular dusk to dawn concert that will be held in Indian Institute of Management on January 25. This year's list of artists for Yamini include Unnikrishnan on Carnatic vocal, Ganesh and Kumaresh on Carnatic violin, Padma Talwalkar on Hindustani vocal, Ustad Shahid Pervez Khan on Hindustani sitar and a Bharathanatya performance by Padmini Ravi.
