Saif Ali Khan's first English feature debuts on the small screen

Saif Ali Khan's first English film and director Homi Adajania's debut feature Being Cyrus makes its entrance on the small screen on November 19 at 8.00 pm on Pix. Being Cyrus has won tremendous critical acclaim since its release this year. Saif plays Cyrus Mistry who comes to stay with the Sethna family consisting of retired sculptor Dinshaw (Naseeruddin Shah) and his wife Katy (Dimple Kapadia) in Panchgani. Cyrus stays with the Sethnas to learn pottery and makes himself useful doing household chores. A romance brews between Cyrus and Katy.In Mumbai, Dinshaw's brother, Farokh (Boman Irani) and his wife Tina (Simone Singh) terrorise the father Fardoonjee (Honey Chhaya). The film is a thriller and goes by the dictum of all not seeming as it is. Is Cyrus who he claims he is? Does he have a secret agenda? As the story unfolds startling plot twists are revealed. Being Cyrus is part of Pix's Sunday Parade. There is also Homi Adajania - Framed, a one-hour programme of Homi in conversation with Onir, director of My Brother Nikhil at 7 p.m before the movie is aired. "Homi has shared some great insights of being a first time director with Onir. The interview has the quality of a spontaneous chat between two directors - what makes it so interesting is the kind of questions Onir has posed - only a director could make those observations," says Gitanjali Murari, Programming Head, Pix.
