(MGM Movies, Friday, 9 p.m.)

The film set in 1943. American soldiers are stationed in England awaiting orders for the D-Day Invasion at the close of World War II. The story follows the involvement of three American soldiers and their relationship with three English women. Sgt. Matt Dyson (Richard Gere) has an affair with British girl Jean Moreton (Lisa Eichhorn). Dyson is a cook and hopes to run a chain of motels once he returns to America. Jean wants to wait for her childhood sweetheart Ken (Derek Thompson) to return so that they can have a life together. Officer John (William Devane) has an extra-marital affair with Helen (Vanessa Redgrave), a socialite with an absent husband. Then there is Sgt. Danny Ruffelo (Chick Vennera) and Mollie (Wendy Morgan) and their romance. Eventually, when the war end, the Americans leave for home with memories for company.

Breathless

(MGM Movies, Saturday, 9 p.m.)

Jesse (Richard Gere) needs to get out of Las Vegas immediately. He steals a car and drives off to Los Angeles. He shoots a cop on the way. Now he is on the run from the police. He meets Monica (Valerie Kaprisky) on reaching Los Angeles and stays with her even though he does not know her well. As the police get closer to Jesse, the crime count increases.

Miles from Home

(MGM Movies, Sunday, 9 p.m.)

Frank (Richard Gere) and Terry Roberts (Kevin Anderson) are brothers who are facing foreclosure on their family farm. In a fit of rage, the brothers burn down their farm and leave town.

They become great heroes in the farming community when they start robbing the banks that are foreclosing on farmers.

Red Corner

(MGM Movies, Monday, 9 p.m.)

A savvy entertainment lawyer (Richard Gere) wakes up the morning after seducing a beautiful Chinese woman to find her dead, leaving him accused of rape and murder.

Executive Decision

(Movies Now, Friday, 6.15 p.m.)

A 747 plane is on its way from Athens to Washington DC. Terrorists take over the flight, ostensibly to effect the release of their leader.

Intelligence expert David Grant (Kurt Russell) has his own suspicions. He convinces the military that the plane should not be allowed to enter the U.S. airspace. Is Grant right or is he unnecessarily hitting the panic button? Also stars Halle Berry and Oliver Platt.
