POWERFUL SCRIPT: Unnale Unnale

Unnale UnnaleGenre: Romance
Director: Jeeva
Cast: Vinay, Sada, Thanisha,
and Raju Sundaram.
Storyline: Equations change
as a young girl walks into a
relationship.
Bottomline: Narration and
visuals make it gripping.Three factors combine to make `Unnale Unnale' a winner. They are camera, the music of Harris Jayaraj and the dialogue of S. Ramakrishnan.Jeeva's story is a one-liner Karthik (Vinay) meets Jhansi (Sada) and they fall in love, but quarrel most of the time. In walks Deepika (Thanisha) and takes away Karthik. Director Jeeva's choice of location beautiful Australia has paid off. The camera, also cranked by Jeeva, vividly captures the nightlife and the charm of Melbourne apart from a few shots in Sydney. The story starts in India but soon moves to the Kangaroo land. The powerful script is backed by the dialogue of S. Ramakrishnan, especially where the lead players join to celebrate the marriage anniversary of their friend. Vinay is handsome but the camera could have avoided certain angles. Sada as Jhansi looks fit and charming and also emotes well. But it is Thanisha as Deepika who scores not only by her acting but also by the importance given to her role in the screenplay. Good looking, the costumes chosen suit her very well. Raju Sundaram chips in with humour too. Three songs, including the title one, are already hits. Harris Jayaraj shows improvement in the background score. Produced by Oscar Films' Ravichandran, the movie's story and screenplay have been handled by Jeeva.
