Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dancer Sailaja celebrates 37 years of her dance, 25 years of her dance academy Saila Sudha and the sixth year of Nritya Sangama, with a six-day cultural fiesta which begins on September 14, at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.

A successful performer, teacher and cultural ambassador with three decades of experience in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, Sailaja belongs to the Vazhuvoor School and has trained under Guru K.J. Sarasa. After her training in Bharatanatyam, Sailaja began to train under Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam for Kuchipudi.

This year, Nritya Sangama – a national art confluence, will be inaugurated on September 14 , by vidwan T.V. Gopalakrishnan. The Guest of Honour is U.S. Consul General, Chennai, Jennifer McIntyre.
