S.A.Chandrasekharan is once again at the helm of affairs for Nenjirukkumvarai.
The car was cruising along ECR approaching Puduchery. And director S.A.Chandrasekaran was giving details about "Nenjirukkumvarai," film being shot there. The film is produced by Gordhan Thanwani for Baba Films. "Nenjirukkumvarai" is Tanwani's first film in Tamil. The seashore near Alambara Fort was the spot where Naren and Deepa were waiting. Naren, who had a good start with "Chithiram Pesudhadi," is popular in Malayalam and now a known name in Tamil also. Deepa is a Punjabi girl who has settled in Hyderabad. The spot came alive with the entry of the director. Cameraman Jeevan wanted a rehearsal for the song tuned by Srikanth Deva. After the rehearsal was over the director suggested some changes to dance master Prabhu Srinivas. Then it was shot with the sea in the background. The film is about hero Naren, an auto driver. His father is `Thalaivasal' Vijay and his mother is Kalai Rani. He has a brother Master Mahendran and his friend is Ganja Karuppu. A college girl enters the scene and life is never the same again for Naren. `A war for Love' is the catchword the director has coined for the film. "Nenjirukkumvarai" is Chandrasekharan's 63rd film, taken up after 18 months. He has done the screenplay for the film. "This will be one of my memorable films. The story has been written by my wife Shoba." Naren is happy to be doing his second film with an ace director like Chandrasekaran. He is especially thrilled with the screenplay. ``I feel that this film will take me to a different height in my career," he said. Nasser, Sreeman and Livingstone play significant roles. The director introduces two new finds and they are Subbaraju, a villain actor from Telugu, and Sanjay as the second hero of the film. Sanjay is a familiar name in television serials and also a good friend of actor Vijay.
