Here’s a new show that focuses on eating habits and healthy cooking. Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution (BIG CBS LOVE, Saturday, 7 p.m.)
Has impassioned chef Jamie Oliver starting a new cooking initiative. He takes on the high statistics of obesity, heart disease and diabetes in the United States and talks to people in their communities and attempts to show them the incredible rewards of cooking for themselves and the people they love.
He hopes to start a chain reaction of positive change across the country and convince people to change their eating habits. He starts by cooking for Huntington High School. Once there, Jamie finds his secret weapon in a group of motivated teenagers who understand the need for change: Brittany, whose weight problem has caused irreversible liver damage and shortened her life expectancy; Marisa, whose father died prematurely as a result of obesity; and Ryan, a troubled teen who wants to get his life back in order by learning a new skill. Will the teens’ passionate appeals inspire change in Huntington?
