The film traces the journey of land baron Matt King (George Clooney) who struggles with unexpected occurrences in his monotonous life. His discovery changes his relationship with his children and his outlook to life.

In the Heat of the Night

Virgil Tibbs (Sidney Poitier) is home visiting his mother when a murder occurs in a small Mississippi town. The victim is a rich white man. Sheriff Bill Gillespie (Rod Steiger) arrests Virgil just because the man is an Afro-American. When Virgil reveals himself to be a Philadelphia police detective, Bill accepts his help with the investigation.

Fatal Beauty

(MGM Movies, Sunday, 7 p.m.)

Detective Rita Rizzoli (Goldberg) is a crusading narcotics police officer in Los Angeles assigned to track down some killer cocaine. She poses as a call girl and is soon hot after two small-time hoods who murder their way in hopes of becoming kingpins. Right from the beginning, Mike Marshak (Sam Elliott), a security agent working for Rizzoli's prime suspect, takes a special interest in Rizzoli, at first for his boss, then later in the detective, as a romance develops.

Midnight Cowboy

(MGM Movies, Sunday, 9 p.m.)

Texan Joe Buck (Jon Voight) goes to New York for the first time. Joe believes he is smart, preens himself as a real hustler until he realises that he is the one being hustled. Then he teams up with Ratso Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman), an outcast. The two get close as they thumb their noses at the hostile world that rebuffs them at every turn. The unlikely pair begins as partners in shady business and go on to become best friends.

The Hunting Party

While away on a hunting trip, rancher Gene Hackman discovers that Oliver Reed and gang have kidnapped Hackman's wife, Candice Bergen. Tracking the gang, he guns them down one-by-one. But by then, Bergen and Reed become lovers.

The Ant Bully

(WB Movies, Monday, 7.05 p.m.)

Lucas is new to town and has no friends. A neighbourhood bully torments Lucas who is unable to fight back. Frustrated, he takes out his anger on an ant hill in his garden. The ants are forced to live in constant terror of Lucas's attacks. They work at solving their problem and come up with a magic potion that they inject into Lucas. This shrinks Lucas to the size of an ant. They drag him to their colony and force him to live there. Lucas learns a lot in this strange world of ants and his perspective on life undergoes a dramatic change.
