Rise of The Guardians

Set about 300 years after the book series, the film tells a story about Guardians Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and the Sandman, who enlist Jack Frost to stop Pitch Black from engulfing the world in darkness. It features the voices of Chris Pine (Jack Frost), Alec Baldwin (Santa Claus), Hugh Jackman (the Easter Bunny), Isla Fisher (the Tooth Fairy) and Jude Law (Pitch).

Looper is a science fiction action-thriller written and directed by Rian Johnson that stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Emily Blunt. Time travel is invented by the year 2074 and, though immediately outlawed, is used by criminal organisations to send those they want killed into the past where they are killed by ‘loopers,’ assassins paid with silver bars strapped to their targets. Joe, a looper, encounters himself when his older self is sent back in time to be killed.

The Cure

Eric and Dexter are neighbours who become best friends. Dexter is 11 and has AIDS and Eric is a little older and bigger than Dexter. Soon Eric also befriends Dexter's mom and chooses her over his own mother, who is neglectful and objects to his friendship with Dexter. The story takes a new turn when they get to know that a doctor in far away New Orleans has found a cure for AIDS. In a Tom Sawyer-Huckleberry Finn like adventure, they plan to float down the Mississippi river to look for him.


MGM Movies, Monday, 9 p.m.

The film is set in present day but Billy (Ed Harris) wants to play it like in the days of King Arthur – only they use motorcycles instead of horses. But soon the travelling troupe begins to crack under the pressure of cops and financial troubles.

The Accidental Husband

Romedy Now, Friday, 5 p.m.

Dr. Emma Lloyd (Uma Thurman) is a radio talk-show host who acts as a love guru.Taking her advice, Patrick's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) fiancée dumps him. In a fit of anger, the fire-fighter forges a marriage licence and fakes his marriage to Emma. Emma is engaged to Richard (Colin Firth) and is totally confused when she finds out that she is already married. Patrick charms his way into Emma's life, so much so she is confused as to who her Mr. Right is.
