Students of XLRI recently conducted a confidence-building coaching session for underprivileged students under the social programme Jagriti .
The session was held at a high school in Gamharia village near Jamshedpur where the students were familiarised with the banking system and safety in investments.
A counseling session and personality development programme was also conducted.
The students conducted informal interactive sessions, and under ‘Magritte’, regularly over a period of two months (July and August) and gauged their progress level through small assessment tests.
The programme, ‘Magritte’, is spearheaded by a team of first- year students of XLRI, under the guidance of Father Antony Ovary.
The student team is working with NGOs operating in and around Jamshedpur. Its aim is to instill self-esteem in students at the grassroots, focusing on financial literacy, career counseling and personality development.
