The IEEE Student Branch of Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology has been selected for the prestigious Darral Chong Student Activity Award (Gold Prize) for 2011.

This is an international award with a global recognition, which is awarded annually to IEEE student branches that constantly encourage and motivate students to continue, innovate and implement meaningful ideas.

Unique activity

Avishkar, the annual inter-college paper presentation contest organised by the IEEE Student Branch of VBIT was adjudged as highly collaborative, unique and innovatively organised activity leading to a positive impact and value creation among its student members.

German Jordanian University Student Branch received the Platinum Prize while Leuven Student Branch also got the Gold Prize.

VBIT chairman N. Goutham Rao, secretary G. Manohar Reddy, principal J.S.N. Murthy appreciated the active leadership of Karthik Siddwaram, Bharath Silagani and Sikta Suchismita, chairpersons of last three years.
