MFC entrance

The Department of Financial Studies of the University of Delhi, South Campus, New Delhi-110021 has invited applications for the entrance test to be held on January 18 at Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and other places for admission to the Master of Finance and Control (MFC) programme.

Graduates or postgraduates in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks are eligible to apply.

Duly filled-in application along with a demand draft for Rs.750 (Rs.250 for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) drawn in favour of Director, University of Delhi, South Campus, should be sent to the Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi, South Campus, New Delhi-110021 so as to reach the addressee on or before December 4, 2008. MBA programme

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of the University of Delhi has invited applications for the entrance test for admissions to the two-year full-time MBA and MBA management of services programmes commencing in July 2009. The test will be held on January 11, 2009.

Bachelor’s degree holders (minimum of three years’ duration) may apply. Graduates in arts, commerce or social sciences should have scored at least 50 per cent marks; 55 per cent for graduates in science; and 60 per cent for graduates in mathematics, statistics, medicine, engineering and technology. Those who are appearing for the final degree or postgraduate examinations are also eligible. Total seats: MBA-144 and MBA (MS)-64.

Admission forms and information bulletin will be available at designated branches of the State Bank of India till December 1, 2008. For applying for both the programmes, the fee is Rs.1,000 (Rs.250 for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and differently-abled categories). For applying for one programme, the fee is Rs.500 (Rs.125 for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and differently-abled categories). Online application and payment facilities are also provided on the website www.fms.edu.

Last date for submitting the filled-in applications is December 1, 2008.

MBA IT

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIITA) has invited applications for admission to the MBA information technology and MS cyber laws and information security programmes. No. of seats: 76 each.

Graduates in any discipline with valid IIM-CAT scores are eligible to apply for MBA IT. B.E. and B.Tech. holders, postgraduates and LL.B. holders are eligible to apply for the M.S. programme. Separate forms should be used for different programmes. Application forms and other details can be downloaded from the website www.iiita.ac.in from November 9.

Application fee is Rs.600 (Rs.300 for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes). Last date for the receipt of completed applications is January 21, 2009.

IGNOU results

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has declared the results of the MBA entrance test held in August, 2008, for admission to the January, 2008, session.

According to a press release, the result cards have been posted individually by IGNOU. Results are available at the website www.ignou.ac.in.

The successful candidates can submit the applications with relevant documents to IGNOU Regional Centre, CIT campus, Taramani, Chennai-600113 on or before November 30, 2008.

The student handbook and prospectus for MBA for the next entrance test to be held in February, 2008, is also being issued now.

The last date for submission of applications is December 15, 2008. The prospectus is available at the IGNOU Regional Centre and study centre.

The cost of the prospectus is Rs.500 (if collected in person) and Rs.550 (by post).
