Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL), under the Department of Atomic Energy, has launched courses in telecom technology in the wake of ever growing demand for efficient manpower in the telecom industry.
The courses will commence on October 25 at ECIL's Guindy campus, Chennai. The course fee is Rs. 23,000 for this six-month course. Telecom Testing, Telecom Development and Embedded Technology in Telecom are the three modules constituting the course, inclusive of a one-month special programme and reviews on completion of the third module.
At the end of each module, an online examination in addition to the written examination will be held and students certified. The classes will be held in three different batches everyday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon; 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Applicants who have passed out or in the final-year of Telecom, ECE (Electronic and Communication Engineering), E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation), EEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) and CSE (Computer Science and Engineering,) as well as MCA (Master of Computer Applications), BSC- CS (Bachelor of Science in Computer Science) and MSc.AE (Master of Science in Applied Electronics) are eligible to apply. Marks should be to 65 per cent and above.
