A National-level seminar on ‘Role of Autonomy and Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Challenges’ was conducted at Gayatri Vidya Parishad, Rushikonda Campus. The guest of honour at the seminar was Debi. Prasad Ray, Principal Advisor to the President and former Vice-Chancellor Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology. He spoke about the present scenario of higher education in the country and the challenges being faced. A technical session was held in which lectures and papers were presented on innovations in teaching and evaluation processes.

Student Net

CII Young Indians, Vizag Chapter launched their Student Nets at Sai Ganapathi Engineering College and Sai Ganapathi Polytechnic College at Anandhapuram, with a vision to influence, inspire and motivate students to work together for a better India.

Anik Hirawat, Chair, Yi Vizag Chapter in his inaugural address said the future of India was in the hands of young students and Yi Students Net provides a platform for them to give their contribution to the fullest.


Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) student chapter of GITAM

Institute of Technology, GITAM University held its annual meet. A.PrasannaKumar, Director , Centre for Policy Studies was the Chief Guest and Narashima Rao Bhogavalli , Alumnus of GITAM , Founder and CEO of Tekdynamics Inc. was the Guest of Honour.

Samata college

As part of its NSS programme, Samata college organised a dental awareness camp in which a team of doctors conducted a dental camp on campus.


Departmant of ECE, VITAM College of Engineering organised a two-day workshop on ARM Cortex MO processor and embedded systems on its campus in association with Easy Arm and Technosoft.


Vignan Institute of Technology, Duvadda organised an on-campus recruitment drive in collaboration with World Wide Diamond Manufacturers private Ltd. for students of EEE, ECE, MECH and MBA.

VIIT’s NSS unit also organised a blood donation camp in association with NTR Memorial Blood Bank.

A one-day workshop on Employability Skills and Technology Expectations was also conducted by M. Chandrasekhar Reddy, programme manager-TCS for 600 students.

LB College

Four students of Dr. L. Bullayya College are among the top 15 rankers of the Physical Education Common Entrance Test (PECET) 2013. As many as 37,500 students appeared for PECET 2013.

Rajeswari secured State No. 2 rank, followed by Ramana Ganesh (7th), P. Ramsi (10th) and K. Gowri (15th), college’s Lecturer in Physical Education Y. Poli Reddy informed. Secretary and correspondent of the college G. Madhu Kumar and Director (AC and C) K. Bhaskara Reddy congratulated the top rankers.
