National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law in collaboration with the Institute of Applied Aviation Management (IAAM), Calicut, has launched a one-year ‘postgraduate diploma in aviation law and air transport management’ at NALSAR campus.
The course was inaugurated by Justice L. Narasimha Reddy, Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh.
Emphasising the importance of aviation education, he highlighted the significance of the regulatory aspects for a fast growing aviation industry. Advances made by aeronautics were so tremendous that globalisation of air transport operations was now a commonplace for mankind. In this scenario, law must keep pace with the growth of air transport, he said.
Delivering the welcome address, vice-chancellor of NALSAR, Veer Singh, congratulated the NALSAR - IAAM team for the timely launch of the programme.
Being a unique programme, it would help youth acquire coveted aviation jobs both in India and abroad.
NALSAR - IAAM initiative will establish further centres in India and abroad.
Delivering the presidential address, PCK Ravindran, Chairman of IAAM and a leading air transport expert and advisor to the UAE, highlighted the need for quality aviation education to meet the phenomenal aviation growth.
