Krishnachaithanya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Markapur, Prakasam District, released a magazine as part of The Hindu E-Plus Club activity. The magazine was released by KITS Director Anusha Chaithanya. The Principal of the college Dr. B Subbaratnam delivered the key note address. Editor of the magazine Saleem, student Editor Hareesh from the CSE department and student page layout designer Chandrika from EEE department also spoke. Vice Principal Dr. Krishna Reddy and Academic Director Prof. Ranganaykulu were present at the meet.

RGUKT to begin classes from today

As many as 921 students joined the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Nuzvid, of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT).

Speaking to The Hindu Education Plus the University’s Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raja Kumar said that admissions were given to 921 students out of 1,000 intake capacity in Nuzvid campus. With the fresh admissions, the strength of the IIIT has increased to 8,000, he said.

Prof. Khan said five students from other states were also given admission. He also noted that the university management would provide bank loans to poor students, whose parents income was less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum.

MoU signed

Krishna University has inked a MoU with Hyderabad-based Laurus Labs, a firm engaged in development and manufacturing of chemicals needed for quality and affordable healthcare. The university has signed the MoU for collaborating in all academic activities connected with the M.Sc. Chemistry (Organic and Inorganic). The MoU was signed by the Registrar of the university Prof. D.Suryachandra Rao and Laurus Executive Director V.V. Ravi Kumar. This PG course is being offered by KRU under semester system or Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with Self Supporting Mode. In the fourth semester students will be offered an internship by Laurus Labs and will also be paid a stipend of Rs.5,000 for the internship period.

Workshop on Android mobile application

The three-day workshop on Android mobile application development at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology concluded here on Wednesday. The workshop was organised by the Department of Information Technology. Trainers and developers from Hyderabad-based COIGN Edu and IT Serivces Sujith Majeti, Praveen Kumar and Naveen Reddy were the resources persons for the workshop. The Principal of the college P. Venkateswarlu and HoD of CSE M.V. Ramakrishna and HoD of IT J.Rajednra Prasad also addressed the students.

Workshop on innovations in education held

A workshop on Innovations in Education Health, Urban Governance and e-Governance was held at Montessori Mahila Kalasala on Sunday. The workshop was conducted by the Centre for Innovations in Public System (CIPS). The workshop was inaugurated by the CIPS Director D. Chakrapani.

A number of resource persons such as, Professor from Lady Shri Ram College- New Delhi Kanika Khandelwal and Aravind Eye Care System- Madurai Senior Manager Deepa Krishnan addressed the participants.
