The Team Robocon of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) secured the 6{+t}{+h}position among the 81 registered teams including, the IITs and NITs at the Robocon India contest held in Pune recently.

The team also bagged the trophy for the “Best Idea Robot” at the event, said Salman Ahmed, one of the participants. Team Robocon MJCET is one of the only two teams from South India to make it to the quarterfinals, the other being IIT Madras.

Robocon is an innovative game-cum intellectual exercise for budding engineers, determined to improvise and create machines to produce task oriented results.

Participation in this activity is an end-to-end competitive experience from concept design of a system of robots programmed to perform according to the rules of the game played on a high precision technical Contest Area.

The contest gives a platform to the engineering students from across India to showcase their skills in robotics.
