While the academia has been expressing concern about the paucity of good teachers in mainstream schools and colleges, organisations and educational institutions working with persons with disability are even more worried, as finding good special educators has become a rather difficult task.

Apart from these, a ‘Care givers course’ for 25 days and a Continuing Rehabilitation Education course - low vision with Cerebral palsy / Alternative and Augmentative Communication, for professionals in the field of Special Education are also available.

The faculty includes eminent doctors, educationists, psychologists, rehabilitation professionals, speech, physiotherapists and occupational therapists and experienced in-house professionals.

Graduates of any discipline with a pass in higher secondary examination from a recognised board are eligible to apply. For details, contact: Shirin: 0-93828 77073 / Uma: 0-98400 35203 or write to enable@vsnl.com.
