The Chairman of Pennar Group, Nrupender Rao, called for imbibing the lessons of the Swami Vivekananda in one’s life to realise personal dreams as well as the dream of a developed India.

He delivered the special lecture on “Lessons from the Teachings of Swami Vivekananda” organised on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, held at ICFAI University.

Mr. Rao summed up the teachings of Swami Vivekananda in six lessons – creating one’s own destiny, respecting humanity, dreaming big, positive attitude towards life, following the right path and hard work.

He deliberated on optimism and hard work as bedrocks of a successful life, while stressing the need of loving fellow beings. He said, “Means are equally important while chasing one’s dreams” and said that having a lesser goal is equally bad.

He quoted several examples of achievers such as Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and Erik Weihenmayer, who followed the virtues of Swami Vivekananda in their journey to success.

He hailed the contributions of Swami Vivekananda in spreading the message of Indian spirituality around the globe, identifying him as one of the foremost thinkers in modern Indian history. J. Mahender Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of ICFAI University welcomed.
