The Centre for Clean Energy and Nano Convergence (CENCON), a research initiative of Hindustan University, will be organising its third international conference on Materials for Energy and NanoConvergence-ICMENC-2013 from July 4 to 6 at HITS, Padur, Chennai. The theme of the conference is ‘Nanotechnology for improving quality of life’. The conference is jointly organised with QSRC, Dongguk University, South Korea.
It will cover a wide range of interdisciplinary and current research topics related to nanotechnology. The primary objectives of this conference will be to facilitate interaction between researchers, eminent scientists, students working in the fields of development of nano materials, its application in various areas such as renewable energy, environment and biomedical applications. The conference will bring renowned scientists like chairman, Noble prize committee in Physics, Prof. Borje Johannsson, Sweden, to discuss nanotechnology applications.
Prof. T.W. Kang, QSRC, Dongguk University; Dr. Rajeev Ahuja, Uppsala University, Sweden; Dr. Raghuraman Kannan, Nanoparticle Production Core Facility, USA, and Dr. A. Subramanyam, Professor, IITM, Chennai, will deliver invited talks.
The three-day conference is aimed at creating awareness about nanotechnology and its intricate applications in various fields. CENCON of Hindustan University will offer M.Tech in Nanotechnology from this academic year which will be jointly conducted by Dongguk University.
