Jawaharlal Nehru University will hold an entrance examination from May 22 to 25 for admission to its various full-time programmes, including the MA courses in economics, politics, geography, history, sociology and arts and aesthetics, the M.Sc. programmes in life sciences, environmental sciences, and physics, the MCA course, the M.Tech. programme in computational and systems biology, and the MA programmes in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Persian, Russian, and English and M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes.
The test centres include Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore, Madurai, Chennai, Bangalore, Goa, Pondicherry, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. Applications are invited for a common entrance test to be held across the country on March 18 for admission to a general purpose (GP) rating course commencing in July. The course will provide an opportunity for 10th, 12th, and ITI students to secure a career in the crew of merchant ships. Those who have passed Class X with science subjects scoring 40 per cent marks in aggregate and 40 per cent in English in Class X or Plus Two may apply.
