Nutritional knowledge and its application are essential in understanding many lifestyle disorders. It is in this regard that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s H.B. College of Communication and Management is offering a three-month certificate course in nutrition. It is doing so in association with Varenya Nutritional Concepts, Diet Clinic, Basavanagudi.

This course is targeted at those who wish to improve their state of living, especially health and fitness professionals, along with beauticians and hotel managers, as it would gear them to serve their clientele better.

The course aims at creating awareness among people regarding the importance of nutrition and its role in postponing early aging. It will also equip students to use techniques to prevent illness and thus promote health. Mainly, the course serves as an alternative to drug usage, which may lead to a lot of side-effects.

The objective is to help society to learn about the alternatives to drugs to keep fit and postpone degenerative disorders/diseases.

The programme will be conducted at H.B. College on Race Course Road every Thursday and Saturday for two hours. Application forms can be obtained from the college between 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on any working day. Fees is Rs. 6,000. The last date to submit applications and admission fees is November 15.
