Online tests for ITI students
Pavendar Bharathidasan College of Engineering and Technology conducted Basic computer course (BCC) for ITI students of Tiruchi, Pudukkottai and Perambalur districts at the college premises in the city recently. The Directorate General of Employment and Training, has recently approved ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu (ICTACT) as an assessing and certifying body for BCC in the State. ICTACT has identified Pavendar Bharathidasan College of Engineering and Technology as ‘ICTACT Assessment and Testing Centre’ and a part of improving the knowledge ecosystem in Tiruchi, Pudukkottai and Perambalur districts. Online tests for 470 ITI students in the district were conducted recently. Narendra Kumar.N, Associate, Project Operations, ICTACT and Devatha, ICTACT Coordinator, PABCET coordinated the programme.
K. Deveraju, certified trainer, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) delivered a guest lecture on 'Creating awareness among investors' at J.J. College of Engineering and Technology, Tiruchi, recently. He underlined investment policies, benefits of investing in gold, clarified doubts in tax saving and demonstrated share price movement in stock exchange. Dr. S. W. Rajamanoharane, Director - MBA welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. Abdullah Basha, Advisor - MBA, honoured chief guest.
The inaugural function of the Bridge Course in English was held at Chidambaram Pillai College for Women, Manachanallur, Tiruchi district recently. K.Sekhar, Principal, welcomed the gathering, and A.Loganathan Managing Trustee gave the presidential address. The chief guest, V.Vinod Kumar, Associate Professor, Bharathidasan University, spoke about the importance of English. The Dean V.Krishnamoorthy felicitated the chief guest.
A literary exhibition was also conducted.
