MSRIT, Schneider to promote technical excellence
Bangalore-based M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) and Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote technical excellence in the field of electronics, software and control engineering.
The MoU covers “university partnership for curriculum development” and through this arrangement MSRIT has developed two courses – advanced industrial automation and modern controls, and energy management. Daniel Gheno, V-P, Engineering, for Schneider Electric and K. Rajanikanth, Principal, MSRIT, signed the MoU at Schneider's R&D facility at Whitefield recently. As part of the collaboration, Schneider will be setting up a lab with state-of-the-art electrical and electronic equipment with associated software, and also provide the required technical knowledge.
Mr. Rajanikanth said that this programme will give quality training to engineering students. The curriculum is modern and involves improving the study methods.
