Students regale at fresher’s party

Steve Jobs, Osama Bin Laden made a guest appearance while students walked on the ramp and danced till rivulets of sweat drenched their clothes.

‘Aamanthran-2012’, the freshers party of Roots School of Business & Management showcased the energy and the creativity of the budding managers and left the students with some memorable moments to carry back home. B. Shivadhar Reddy, Director of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) was the chief guest. The party was marked with student ramp walk wherein over hundred students showcased their ramp skills. Six students emerged victorious - Keesari Karthik (Mr. Fresher); Ishwarya (Ms. Fresher); Suresh Vishwanath (Mr. Charming); Tejaswi (Ms. Charming); Faisal (Mr. Personality) and Varshika (Ms. Personality). The Fashion show was choreographed by Nivedita and it had four sequences - Black & White, Casuals, Western, Ethnic/Bridal and Traditional.

B.P. Padala, Chairman of Roots said such parties were the best bet to cut the ice and infuse the warmth among students, and they root out any chances of ragging.

The welcome as and farewell song written and sung by Phaneendra, senior student set the mood for the party. Prateek, member of the band Roof Top Dogs played the guitar. The skits - Mime Cricket (Humorous), Opening of a Bank (Thokkala Bank) and Judgement Day, in which some of the characters included Osama Bin Laden and Steve Jobs, regaled the gathering.
