‘Jan Samvad’ highlighted the social injustices in the society with songs composed by students, teachers

A musical concert ‘Jan Samvad’ organised at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) by the Democratic Students’ Front (DSF) highlighted the social injustices in the society.

The songs were composed and performed by the collaborative efforts of the teachers and the students and they carried a strong social message, which is highly relevant in the modern times.

Subhash Kumar, President of Democratic Students’ Front said that ‘Jan Samvad’ was a revolutionary form of music against the social injustices of riots, corruption, killings in the society.

A composition titled ‘Modern Gorakhdhandha’ brought to light the plight of the nation in times of recent incidents such as violence in Assam, incidents of honour killings, Gujarat riots, assault on women among others.

Faculty members Surender Singh Negi and Tariq Sheikh and students Shashi Saurab, Roshan Mandela and other students came together to be a part of the event.
