National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded Women's Christian College (WCC) a Cumulative Grade Point Average

(CGPA) of 3.43 on a scale of four in its latest assessment.

In a press release, WCC principal and secretary Ridling Margaret Waller said the college has topped the list of `A' grade colleges in the State. As many as 36 colleges and one university were re-accredited, she said. The accreditation is valid for five years.

The college had applied for the third cycle of re-accreditation and was visited by a four member peer team in March which visited and inspected 23 departments and infrastructure. The NAAC has awarded the grade. The peer team also had interactive sessions with all the stakeholders of the college. Apart from the rigorous academic exercise, the students presented a cultural programme showcasing the extra-curricular activities on campus and multifarious talents nurtured by the college, said Ms. Waller, principal of the college.
