The Institute of Archaeology of the Archaeological Survey of India, Delhi, has invited applications for an entrance test to be held on September 3 for admission to a two-year postgraduate diploma course in Archaeology. Short-listed candidates will then have to attend an interview on September 5 and 6.

Those who have a Master’s degree in Ancient or Medieval Indian History; Archaeology; Anthropology; any language from Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Arabic or Persian; or Geology with knowledge of the Pleistocene age and a minimum aggregate of 55 per cent marks (50 per cent for reserved categories) may apply. Students aged up to 25 as on August 31, 2013, relaxed for the reserved sections, may apply.
