About 403 students from different courses of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) graduated in 2007-08 batch were awarded the degrees at 41 convocation function, held here on last Thursday. Students of B.Sc., B.Tech., M.Sc. and PhD in different branches of agricultural sciences and allied disciplines received the degrees from Vice-Chancellor P. Raghava Reddy. 14 students were presented with gold medals as recognition to their academic achievements. Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia delivered the conventional address. He also gave gold medals to 20 scientists and teaching faculties, who made significant contributions in teaching and research.

SPMVV workshop

SPMVV conducted a four-day personality development and leadership training programme last week under the aegis of its Centre for Indira Gandhi Studies. G.L. Manohar and K. Krishnamurthy, international trainers attached to Junior Chamber International (JCI), explained why and how every individual, institution and nation should commit itself continuously and consciously for value addition. “Building self-confidence is possible as long as one has the focus and determination to carry things through,” they observed.
