The Hindu Education Plus Counselling2009 to be held in Puducherry on May 17will feature experts’ views and interactive sessions on higher education.

With the board examination results round the corner, it is that time of the year when parents and students are keen to make the right choices when it comes to higher education. It is with this aim of providing guidance to students in selection of courses and careers that The Hindu - Education Plus Counselling 2009 would be held on May 17 in Puducherry. With plenty in store at the event, especially for students of Class X and XII, get to know all about higher education opportunities from the experts. The counselling would have educationists, academicians, industry representatives and other experts deliberating on key streams of higher education.

The sessions include those on engineering courses, medicine, bio-sciences industry, personality development and general higher education opportunities. Career Consultant and Analyst Jayaprakash A. Gandhi; former vice-chancellor of Pondicherry University, A. Gnanam; Practice Director, Life Sciences of Cognizant, Sankaranarayanan Balasubramanian, and Television Anchor C. Gopinath would present their views on various topics.
