Tiny Teddies, a known Play Group school from K.K. Nagar, kicked off its five-day winter workshop for kids in the age group 2-1/2 to 14 years on December 24. The workshop comprised two sessions – story telling and coil pot making. Around 100 children participated in this workshop which also had those who had trained on coil pot making.

On the first day the liveliest story teller Jeeva Raghunath, with her energetic story telling technique, made the children make many friends in their new dream world. Coil pot making expert and professor of visual art P. Rajashekar taught children about how to make coil pot creatively.

Partner Faculty, Tiny Teddies, Vidhya Shivakumar, said “Children love stories. Storytelling has major benefits for children, beyond the fact that children love to hear stories. And storytelling helps to remove the negative characteristics of a child and has huge benefits . Both this sessions will make them learn new creative skills”

Head of Faculty & Partner, Sandhana Kumari, said “the session is organised as a part of our ongoing activities through ‘Kids Club’. The workshop aims at engaging the children in a creative pursuit. We believe these sessions will help a child to develop skills like oral language, listening, social skills and creative thinking.”
