The website of the Chitlapakkam Muthulakshmi Nagar Welfare Association was launched on November 14. The website was declared open by Tambaram MLA S .R .Raja. He appreciated the involvement of the office bearers and the residents in running the welfare association for the past 20 years and acknowledged the role of the association in the growth of Chitlapakkam. He also mentioned that website is essential for communication among people. The function was presided over by CMWA president L. Sundararaman. Secretary of the association S. Kannan welcomed the chief guest and thanked him for having taken initiatives for introducing few buses via Chitlapakkam and made a request to introduce at least two mini buses bound to Chitlapakkam.

The association also sought the MLA's intervention in building a subway on GST Road opposite MEPZ and improvements in Tambaram Sanatorium subway. Members of the association requested Mr. Raja to take efforts in renaming Tambaram Sanatorium railway station as ‘Chitlapakkam'.

S. Sridharan, committee member who has designed the website gave a demo of the contents of the website ‘www.cmwachennai.org'. C.S Venkatesh treasurer of CMWA proposed a vote of thanks.
