To mark the 116{+t}{+h}anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s stay in Chennai in 1897 from February 6-14 in Vivekanandar Illam (Formerly Ice House), Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, is conducting ‘Vivekananda Navaratri’ at the Illam from February 6-14.

The following programmes will be held - Vivekananda’s thoughts on education by Swami Kamalatmananda Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, on February 10 at 6.00 p.m.; Readings from Swami Vivekananda’s teachings at 4.45 p.m. daily; significance of Vivekananda Navaratri by Swami Apavargananda, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, on February 11 at 6.00 p.m.; Swami Vivekananda’s place in Tamil Nadu History by Krishnamurthy, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, on February 11 at 6.30 p.m.; lecture on Swami Vivekananda and Religious Tolerance by Swami Tygarajananda Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Nattrampalli, on February 13 at 6.00 p.m. Apart from this, bhajans, drama, vocal concert and distribution of prasadams will be held.
