A two-day national level workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligent Controller Application to Power Electronics and Power System Using Matlab/Simulink’ was inaugurated by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on January 23.

N.K. Mohanty, Head of Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering welcomed the gathering, principal, T. Chandrashekar gave the presidential address and mentioned about the importance of the workshop. Senior Scientist, from CLRI, R.C. Panda, while inaugurating the workshop delivered a lecture regarding the neural network application for power systems and power electronics. Assistant professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, G. Bavani proposed vote of thanks.

Professor from SSN College of Engineering, Ranganath Muthu, delivered a lecture on Introduction to Fuzzy Logic Controller and he demonstrated the fuzzy logic controller applications in MATLAB. During the afternoon session, C. Vaithilingam, HOD, KCG college of Technology handled the laboratory session on Fuzzy Logic Controller Applications.

During the forenoon session of the second day, Associate professor, SSN College of Engineering, Ramaprabha, delivered a lecture on Introduction to Neural Network Controller and she demonstrated the Neural Network Controller Applications in MATLAB. During the afternoon session, Associate professor, EEE Department, SRM University, Preetha Rosalin, gave the demonstration on genetic algorithm. Certificates were issued to the participants in the valedictory function on January 24.
