A three-in-a-row triumph for the SRM University in the All India inter-university chess championships comes as no surprise.
Comprising two Grand Masters, and an equal number of International Masters, the SRM squad swept through the opposition at Trichur garnering 18 points in a nine rounds.
The team that made this accomplishment possible consisted of S.P.Sethuraman and Deep Sen Gupta (both GMs) R.Prasanna Rao and R.Ramanath Bhuvanesh (both IMs) and R.Arvind Kumar.
Dr.Ravindranath, Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Calicut gave away the trophy.
