A National level technical symposium ‘Quintessence’13’organised recently by the students society of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Easwari Engineering College, Ramapuram, saw participation of large number of students from across the country. Around 700 participants from various Engineering Colleges participated in various events namely paper presentation, project contest, technical quiz, micro-wizard.

Principal Scientist, RISE Lab, IIT Madras, G. Madhusudan, in his inaugural address, emphasised the responsibilities of an electronics engineer. He said that practical knowledge is required to be successful. Head of ECE Department, S. Saraswathi Janaki gave a welcome address. College principal, Jothi Mohan Balasubramaniam, delivered the presidential address and vice-principal, K. Kathiravan offered his felicitations to the gathering. The first copy of the ‘magazine’ was released by Jothi Mohan Balasubramaniam, which was received by G. Madhusudan. The president of the student society gave a report on activities of the society for the year 2012-2013 and co-ordinator of the symposium, Abirami, proposed vote of thanks.
