TCS Best Student Award sponsored by TATA Consultancy Services Limited, was presented on October 29 at Easwari Engineering College, Ramapuram. The award has been instituted as part of Accreditation Interface Programme of TATA Consultancy Services four years ago. Rajeswari, B.Tech, IT Alumni 2009, was the proud recipient of the Best Student Award for her proficiency in academics and all-round excellence in co-curricular, extra-curricular activities.

Presenting the award, K. Subramanian, Head, Global Delivery Process Design, TCS, appreciated the efforts of TCS in promoting excellence through such awards. He also congratulated the recipient of the award and the committed efforts of Easwari Engineering College in realising excellent placements.

A.K. Pattabiraman, Head-Accreditation Process for South India, TATA Consultancy Services, highlighted the process of accreditation by TCS. He said that only 14 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu have been accredited by TCS and Easwari Engineering College is one among the leading colleges considered for the award. The students are put through rigorous and challenging stages during the selection process. At every stage, students from Easwari Engineering College have emerged as the best and realised one of the best conversion rates at the TCS recruitment drives in the State, he added. Antony Dinesh, Head, Senior and Strategic Recruitment, TCS, felicitated the gathering and advised the students to realise their potential and work towards the goal.

T.P. Ganesan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, SRM University, presiding the function, congratulated the award winner and appreciated the efforts of TCS, which creates a competition among the students and induces them to excel. K. Abdul Ghani, Principal of Easwari Engineering College, welcomed the gathering.
