Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) held its 102nd annual general meeting at Chennai recently. Dr. Subir Gokarn, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India, inaugurated the meeting. As a part of its corporate social responsibility, SICCI awarded the best students from various leading institutions in different categories.

Dr. Gokarn presented the awards to G.C. Paul Suganthan of Anna University in Computer Science and Engineering category, Madhuri Chakravarti of Madras School of Economics in General Economics, Madhuri Krishnan of Bharathidasan Institute of Management and R. Sylvia Raja Sundari of Loyola Institute of Business Administration in Management Education. They were honoured with cash award and a medal.

While interacting with the winners, he appreciated the initiative of the SICCI in recognising and rewarding achievers. He also released ‘SICCI century commemorative volume: A journey of Excellence & Enterprise’ on the occasion.
