The 13{+t}{+h}Annual Sports Day of Soka Ikeda College of Arts and Science for Women, Madhanangkuppam, was held recently at the college grounds. A. Raj Aravindan, International Para TT player set off the Ikedian torch and asked the students to take more positive signs from participating in sports events. A special flag which had come from Japan was hoisted with great solemnity.

The march past was led by the band students with their harmonious rendition.

The band was led by the college sports president, P. Roja of III B.Sc. Mathematics, captain of the college Kho–Kho team and a remarkable athlete.

First Indian Women Cricket Umpire and International Cricketer, B. Sumathi Hariharan Aiyar was the special guest of the day, who addressed the gathering of student-participants.

She distributed prizes to the winners and motivated others to perform better in the future.

Principal Rani Christhu Dhas welcomed the gathering. College Chairman Sethu Kumanan, Secretary, Kogilam Kumanan, Advisor P. Ranjithakani and were present to greet the participants and prize winners.
