The LB Nagar junction has become a problematic place for motorists' intending to take a turn to go to any of the four directions that the roads lead to. Shared-autos parked near the junction are acting as a hindrance for the free flow of traffic, especially during the morning and evening hours, creating problem for motorists.
A large part of the road is occupied by these autos that either stop for short periods to drop passengers or wait for a longer time to pick them up. This practice makes the road quiet narrow at the junction leading to a lot inconvenience to road users who are deprived of a safe and free turn at the junction.
“The road also sees movements of heavy vehicles and autos parked on roadsides block the way for two wheelers forcing them to use the space of the heavy vehicles endangering their lives,” says Narsimha Murthy, a resident of LB Nagar.
“One has to continuously honk to make the auto drivers remove their vehicles or at times, one has to yield to them,” says an agitated Qamaruddin, a regular road user. The regular road users want the authorities to deploy some traffic home guards at the place to put an end to this practice that is proving to be a nightmare for them.
